Last updated: November 2026
This policy explains what personal data LockInNow collects, why we collect it and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
LockInNow is an A-Level revision platform run from the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about your data, contact us through the Contact us page.
2. What we collect
Account details: your email address, username and, if you choose, your sign-in provider (such as Google).
Study details: your subjects, exam boards, study stage, goals and the preferences you set during setup or in Settings.
Activity: focus timer sessions, XP, answers to questions and papers, flashcards, Mistake Vault entries, confidence ratings and chats with Lockie.
Payments: if you buy a plan, our payment provider processes your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
Support: messages you send us through Contact us, Report a bug or the feedback bubble.
3. How we use it
To run your account, save your progress and sync it across devices.
To personalise revision, including what Lockie suggests and which topics it focuses on.
To process payments, answer support requests and keep the site safe from abuse.
Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving LockInNow, and your consent where we ask for it.
4. Lockie and AI
When you chat with Lockie or use AI marking, your message and relevant study context are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not use your chats to train AI models.
Do not share sensitive personal information in chats.
5. Who we share it with
We use trusted providers for hosting, database and sign-in, AI responses and payments. They only process data on our instructions.
We never sell your personal data. On the leaderboard, only your username or an anonymous label is shown, depending on your choice.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account in Settings, your personal data is deleted, except where we must keep records by law (for example payment records).
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict how we use it.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Young people
LockInNow is designed for students aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not create an account.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as your theme and focus timer. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
